Officers Find Illegal And Expired Veterinary Drugs In Mandarin Sold By Petshops
JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Food and Maritime Security Sub-Department, Agriculture (KPKP) conducted surprise inspections (sidak) to a number of pet shops or known as pet shops in Central Jakarta.
As a result, a number of vitamins, medicines, and ointments for animals were not registered with the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) of the Republic of Indonesia.
Head of Section (Kasie) of the Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-dept., Herawati, said that her party had inspected a number of pet shops in the Kemayoran area. The officers came to check one by one the drugs and vitamins that were sold at the pet shop.

"As a result, we found a number of vitamins, and drugs that were not registered with the Ministry of Agriculture. In addition, a number of drugs were also approaching their expiration date which was only a matter of months," Herawati said when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, March 17.
Herawati said that petshops were caught committing violations such as the presence of drugs that were not registered with the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture. A number of medicines - drugs also do not have the Indonesian language instead of a foreign language.
"There is a Chinese language and several other countries, we hope there is an Indonesian language. We will provide guidance to pet shop owners," she said.
