COVID-19 Update As Of March 7: 9.629 New Additional Cases, Active Cases Becomes 312.958

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 195.229 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 9.629 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5.900.124 people and active cases have fallen by 29.938 to 312.958 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, March 14.

Today's recovered cases increased by 39.296 people, bringing the total to 5.434.729 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 271 cases and totaled 152.437 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 1.842 cases and a total of 1.074.514 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 1.307 new cases with a total of 1.219.307 cases. Central Java has 920 new cases and a total of 610.985 cases. East Nusa Tenggara has 839 new cases and a total of 86.827 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 9.563 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 4.000 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 6.192 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 3.235 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 89.276.639.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 13.49 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 10.611 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, there are currently 192.474.037 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 151.474.037 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 14.628.765. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
