Pertamina's Directive, Pelita Air Deactivates Albert Burhan, Because He Suspect Of Alleged Corruption Of Garuda Indonesia Aircraft
JAKARTA - Pelita Air Service stated that they respect and obey the ongoing legal process after their president director, Albert Burhan, has been named a suspect by the Attorney General's Office related to the alleged corruption case in the procurement of Garuda Indonesia aircraft.
Pelita Air President Commissioner, Michael Umbas, has coordinated with the shareholders, namely PT Pertamina (Persero), and subsequently the Pelita Air board of commissioners took the step of temporarily disabling Albert Burhan.
The company also appointed Director of Finance and General Affairs of Pelita Air, Muhammad S. Fauzani, as the acting president director for the continuity and smooth running of the company's business.

"As a form of respect for the law enforcement process at the Attorney General's Office, Mr. Albert's position according to the direction of the shareholders has been temporarily disabled. For the executive director, the Board of Commissioners has agreed to appoint the Director of Finance, Mr. Muhammad Fauzani, effective from today," said Michael Umbas in an official statement, Friday, March 11.
He added Pelita Air continues to run the charter flight business and other aviation services with a full commitment to maintaining the security, safety, and comfort of its customers.
