Face-to-face School In Cirebon Hasn't Been Conducted Even Though PPKM Level 3 Has Been Done

CIREBON - The Cirebon City Government, West Java Province has not resumed face-to-face learning in schools even though the status of the restriction on community activities in its area has dropped from level 4 to level 3.

"This week it's still not open for PTM (face-to-face learning)," said Cirebon City Secretary Agus Mulyadi in Cirebon, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

Agus said the city government would observe the trend of COVID-19 transmission for at least a week before deciding to resume face-to-face learning at schools.

"We are still waiting for about a week for all conditions to stabilize," he said.

He said, at the initial stage, face-to-face learning participants will be limited to a maximum of 50 percent of the classroom capacity.

After the status of the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in its area was lowered from level 4 to level 3, the Cirebon City Government reopened impromptu markets and public facilities that were closed during PPKM level 4.

Agus asked residents to remain disciplined in carrying out health protocols after the restrictions were relaxed so that the number of COVID-19 cases did not rise again.
