Collaborating With JSIT, BSI Presents Islamic Finance Solutions In The Education Sector
JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) presents Islamic finance solutions in the education sector by signing a cooperation agreement with the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT).
The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Director of Sales and Distribution of BSI Anton Sukarna and the General Chairperson of the JSIT Central Executive Fahmi Zulkarnain. On the occasion, Anton said JSIT is a partner of BSI for the use of comprehensive Islamic banking products, services and services.
Anton said, through this collaboration, BSI can support business activities and be able to provide comprehensive Islamic financial solutions to JSIT. Currently, JSIT members reach 2.349 schools spread across 34 provinces throughout Indonesia. JSIT members vary from kindergarten, elementary, junior high, to high school levels.
“The education sector is one of BSI's focuses because of its role in strengthening the quality of the nation's human resources. Education is an obligation for every ummah, according to the hadith narrated by Muslim, 'Whoever takes the path to seek knowledge, Allah will make it easy for him the path to heaven'," said Anton, in his remarks at the signing of the cooperation, Tuesday, March 8.

Anton also detailed that in the education sector BSI is ready to present various products and services such as the BSI School Platform, BSI Mitra Edu Financing for schools, and the BSI Priority Pre Approved Program specifically for school owners. To teachers and school employees, BSI offers products such as Easy Wadiah Savings BSI, Mitraguna Financing, Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP KPR), and the Student Guardian Referral Fee Program.
For parents and guardians of students who want to prepare financially for the future, BSI offers Future Planning Savings, BSI E-Mas Savings, Sharia Mutual Funds, Indonesian Hajj and Hajj Savings, Hasanah Cards, and BSI Griya. For students, BSI offers Junior Savings for children and students.
BSI stated that one of its superior features for students is the BSI Smart Card, which is a student card to support the student attendance system with just a tap. This feature also functions as a snack card that makes it easier for parents to control and monitor various transactions and payments made by their children.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding was witnessed online by all BSI regions and all JSIT regions. The event was also attended by the Secretary-General of the JSIT Central Leadership Ahmad Fikri, General Treasurer of the Central Executive JSIT Mas'ud, Chairman of the JSIT Board of Trustees Sukro Muhab, Secretary of the JSIT Board of Trustees Mohammad Zahri, supervisors, JSIT administrators at the center or the region, as well as the Group Head and Regional CEO of BSI.
