PTPP Distributes Various Assistance For Victims Of Natural Disasters

JAKARTA - The state-owned construction company, PT PP (Persero) Tbk, provides humanitarian assistance to flood victims in Serang, Banten. The assistance was handed over directly by the PTPP TJSL Team together with the Banten Stadium Project Team to the Serang City Police Chief AKBP Maruli Achilles Hutapea on Friday 4 March.

The amount of aid for flood disasters distributed by the company is 500 food packages and 1,000 ready-to-eat foods. According to the plan, the assistance will be distributed through 12 Polsek under the auspices of the Serang City Police to areas affected by flooding.

Previously, on Thursday 3 March, PTPP had also provided assistance to victims in Serang, Banten through the Banten Province BUMN Disaster Task Force. The assistance provided consisted of basic necessities, ready-to-eat food, blankets, milk, and other disaster victims' needs.

Not only that, but PTPP is also swift in distributing aid for victims of the earthquake that occurred in West Pasaman, West Sumatra on Tuesday, March 1. The assistance provided for the earthquake victims included: ready-to-eat food, basic necessities, toiletries and cleaning, mats, mattresses, blankets, milk, and others.

PTPP as one of the state-owned companies engaged in construction and investment took the initiative to move quickly to help the victims of these natural disasters which is in line with the program of the Ministry of SOEs.

"PTPP expresses its concern over the current natural disasters, namely the flood that occurred in the Serang, Banten area and the earthquake that occurred in West Pasaman, West Sumatra some time ago. PTPP will continue to play an active role in providing assistance to victims of these natural disasters," said Yuyus Juarsa, PTPP Corporate Secretary, in his statement, Saturday, March 5.

In addition, PTPP will continue to cooperate and coordinate with various parties to synergize in distributing disaster assistance to victims. In addition, the provision of this assistance is also in line with the BUMN program, namely "BUMN for Indonesia". We hope this natural disaster will end soon,” he concluded.
