64 Flood Locations In Serang City Begins To Recede
SERANG - Banten Police continue to monitor post-flood conditions in Serang City and it is known that 64 flood locations that occurred Tuesday, March 1, have almost completely receded.
The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Grand Commissioner Pol. Shinto Silitonga in Serang, Friday, March 4, said that until now, of the 64 flood points recorded at the Banten Police Bureau of Operations, the dominant water has receded in that location, only a few places in Kasemen District are still inundated, namely the Angsoka Jaya Neighborhood RT 02/09 Kasemen Village, Kenari Neighborhood Kasunyatan Village, and Sukadiri Neighborhood Margaluyu Village.
As a result of the flood, Shinto said, there were 3,424 houses affected, and 4 houses were seriously damaged, namely, in Legok Dalam RT 02/02, Drangong Taktakan Village, Magersari Neighborhood, Serang Sub-district, and 2 houses in Kasemen Sub-district were eroded and carried away by river water.
In addition, there were 5 people each killed, namely Gusti (18), a resident of the Old Market Environment, Kota Baru Village, Serang District.
Meanwhile, four victims died, namely Afrizal, a resident of Cantilan RT/RW 01/09, Kagungan Village, Serang District. The victim died allegedly due to the panic caused by water entering the house so the victim slipped and died on the spot.
The next victim, Farel, a resident of Munjul, RT/RW 02/03, Umbul Tengah Village, Taktakan District. The victim was thought to have drifted and was found dead.

The fifth victim is Armansyah, a resident of Parung, RT/RW 02/04 Penaancang Village, Cipocok Jaya District. The victim has also been found dead.
To help ease the burden for residents affected by floods, assistance from various parties continues to flow. The assistance provided was in the form of ready-to-eat food, suitable clothes, clean water, and other necessities.
"Hopefully the assistance we provide can help ease the burden on flood victims. This is a form of our concern for the brothers and sisters affected by the flood," said the team coordinator on Friday sharing the blessings of the Majelis Ta'lim Al Islam Bumi Agung Permai I RW 23 Serang City, Wina Firdian Hasanah, while distributing aid for flood victims at the Angsoka Permai Kasemen Housing, Serang City.
Head of BPBD Serang City Diat Hermawan said that there were still several points of evacuation location for residents because there were still puddles of water, namely in Karang Connect Village, Angsana Indah complex, Suka Jaya, and Old Banten in Kasemen District.
Meanwhile, the needs of flood victims include ready-to-eat food, clothing for adults and children that are still suitable for use, blankets, medicines, toiletries, and clean water.
