The KPK Investigates Former Tangerang Mayor Budi Budiman About 2018 Special Allocation Fund Management

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of handing over money for the 2018 Special Allocation Fund (DAK) process. This investigation was carried out by examining former Tangerang Mayor Budi Budiman.

He was questioned as a witness on Thursday, February 24 at the Tasikmalaya Police, West Java.

"We are investigating the alleged handing over of money from witnesses in the context of administering the 2018 DAK," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri in a written statement, Friday, February 25.

Not only that, Ali said, investigators confirmed several other things. Including the beginning of his introduction to parties related to DAK management.

"Witness Budi Budiman was confirmed, among other things, regarding the initial introduction of the witness to the parties related to this case," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently developing allegations of corruption in the management of the 2018 DAK which has ensnared former Ministry of Finance official Yaya Purnomo.

Even so, the KPK has not yet announced who else will be involved in the case. All announcements of the suspect as well as the chronology and articles of the alleged suspect will be conveyed to the public when the evidence is complete.

Currently, KPK investigators are gathering evidence and requesting statements from witnesses.
