DEPOK - Depok City recorded the lowest poverty rate in West Java in 2021, which was 2.58 percent. This percentage is also far below the poverty rate of West Java Province, 8.40 percent.

Head of the Regional Development Planning and Research Agency (Bappeda) of Depok City, Dadang Wihana, said the 2.58 percent figure was based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Java Province.

"Although the poverty rate for Depok City has reached 2.58 percent, we should be grateful that it is still in the lowest position in West Java," he said in a statement quoted by Antara, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 23.

Dadang said the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the community's economy, including in Depok City, West Java.
