The Kediri COVID-19 Task Force Has Not Allowed Face-to-Face Learning

KEDIRI - The COVID-19 Task Force in Kediri City, East Java, has not yet allowed face-to-face learning (PTM) in schools so currently, it is still implementing distance learning (PJJ) or online schools.

"In the City of Kediri, it is still level three and indeed many more cases have been confirmed from outside the city. So, currently, it is still PJJ", said the spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force for the City of Kediri, doctor Fauzan Adima, in Kediri, Monday, February 14.

He added that the Kediri City COVID-19 Handling Task Force immediately sent an official letter to the Kediri City Education Office regarding this advanced distance learning policy. In the city of Kediri, the PJJ has been implemented one week before and will be evaluated the following week.

"Later the education office will pass on information related to distance learning in Kediri City", he said.

Furthermore, Fauzan said that his party is also currently aggressively urging the public to participate in the third or booster vaccination. Currently, the achievement of the third vaccination is still around 10 percent so it is hoped that it will be even more intensive.

He also asked the public to be more intensive in implementing health protocols, to prevent the spread of the virus.

"The booster vaccine is still around 10 percent. We also urge the public to be more disciplined about health protocols", he said.

The Head of the Kediri City Education Office, Siswanto, added that until now there has been no decision for face-to-face learning so currently distance learning is still implemented.

This program applies from the playgroup level to high school, as an effort to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.

"For PTM, we are still waiting for a decision from the COVID-19 Task Force for the City of Kediri. For now, it is still PJJ", said Siswanto.

It has also asked all schools to review the material that has been taught. Henceforth, the school will catch up with the material when the face-to-face meeting (PTM) is held again.

"There is a transitional curriculum, from the transitional curriculum, it will prioritize enrichment or remedial", he said.

He also appealed to tutoring institutions to continue implementing PTM to apply strict rules according to government recommendations.

"All tutors must have been vaccinated at least up to dose II. For implementation during teaching, the health protocol is maintained so that crowds do not occur", said Siswanto.
