Bank Indonesia Disburses IDR 3.5 Trillion To Help The Government Fund The 2022 State Budget
JAKARTA - It is stated that Bank Indonesia is continuing to purchase State Securities (SBN) as part of policy synergy with the government.
Bank Indonesia Governor, Perry Warjiyo, said this was in line with the condition of liquidity that remained loose and supported the national economic recovery.
"Bank Indonesia will continue to purchase SBN in the primary market for funding for the 2022 State Budget of IDR 3.56 trillion (until February 8, 2022) through the main auction mechanism", he said when holding a press conference after the Board of Governors' Meeting, Thursday, February 10.
Perry added that what the central bank was doing was the implementation of the Joint Decree of the Minister of Finance and the Governor of Bank Indonesia which was valid until December 31, 2022.

"In addition, BI has also added liquidity (quantitative easing) in banks by Rp. 10.34 trillion", he said.
Meanwhile, banking liquidity conditions in December 2021 remained loose as reflected in the high ratio of liquid assets to third party funds (AL/DPK) reaching 35.12 percent and Third Party Funds (DPK) growing by 12.21 percent year-on-year (YoY).
"Liquidity conditions remain loose in line with the synergy impact of Bank Indonesia's policies with the government in supporting the national economic recovery", said Perry.
