Thieves Burglarized A Motorcycle Workshop In Depok, 4 Units Of Motorbikes And Gloves Were Stolen
DEPOK - A group of thieves managed to take four modified motorbikes at the Brilliant Custom showroom, Limo Raya Street Blok G49/54, Limo District, Depok City, Wednesday 9 February.
Brilliant Custom Motorcycle admin employee, Bayu Saputra (25) said the theft of four custom motorcycle units was discovered when the showroom was about to open at 07.30 western Indonesia time.
"I want to open the Showroom rolling door and all the glass doors are in the open position. The perpetrators have damaged the lock and the handle of the inner door, allegedly using the hard liquid," Bayu told reporters at the scene, February 9.
Bayu said, apart from motorbikes, there were electronic items including laptops, two black cellphones, custom exhausts, and seven motorcycle gloves, which were stolen by the perpetrators.
"For the missing motorbike, it has been modified or a two-unit Yamaha Scorpio Custom, one Honda Supra and a Yamaha Byson with a laptop, and exhaust and gloves, the total loss is estimated at IDR 150 million," he said.
Based on the testimony of the witness, the neighbor of the shophouse next door, according to Bayu, there was a noise around 03.00 western Indonesia time.

"Because during the pandemic the showroom didn't have any employees sleeping here. So it was empty. The perpetrators managed to damage the DVR hardware of the CCTV camera recording so they weren't caught," he said.
"This theft case has been reported to the authorities, Number: STTLP/42/B/II/2022/Sek Cinere. Officers have processed the crime scene and it is strongly suspected that the perpetrator entered by damaging the lock with chemical liquid," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cinere Police, Commissioner Adjutant Suripto, said that members had conducted a crime scene investigation and asked for statements from witnesses.
"We are still investigating the witnesses who were questioned. We have secured the evidence for the two broken locks," he concluded.
