The 5th Congress Of The Constitutional Court At The World Level Brings The Theme Of Constitutionalism-Peace
JAKARTA - Secretary-General (Sekjen) of the Constitutional Court (MK) of the Republic of Indonesia Guntur Hamzah said the 5th Congress of The World Conference on Constitutional Justice (WCJJ) or the world-level MK Congress carried the theme of constitutionalism and peace.
"That is the main theme that has been determined," said Secretary-General of the Constitutional Court Guntur Hamzah in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 8.
Although the WCCJ Secretariat has determined the main theme of the event, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia has also made or adapted sub-themes that are appropriate on a regional and international scale.
The activity, which is planned for October 4 to 8, 2022, said Guntur, the Court will discuss several issues in the country that are still related to the event.
For example, said Guntur, the Constitutional Court will discuss the role or contribution of the Indonesian Constitutional Court which is significant for the development of state administration in the country.
It was also said that due to the current condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, of course, this is one of the issues that will be addressed as well, including the role of the institution regarding the development of democracy to the settlement of the constitutional rights of citizens in the country.

He added that on Thursday, February 10, 2022, Indonesian President Joko Widodo is scheduled to attend and give a speech at the Special Plenary Session of the Constitutional Court's Annual Report.
The trial was held in accordance with the mandate of Article 13 Number 7 of 2020 concerning the Third Amendment to Law Number 24 of 2003 which states that the Constitutional Court is obliged to publicly announce periodic reports to the public.
The periodic report includes applications that are registered, examined, and terminated as well as financial management and other administrative tasks.
Through this Special Plenary Session, he hopes that people's rights to information regarding the Constitutional Court can be fulfilled.
