Nimbrung Comments On Marquez's Selfie, Twitter Account Of The Ministry Of Tourism And Creative Economy For Indonesian Food Promotion
JAKARTA – The upload of racer Marc Marquez on Twitter was flooded with comments from netizens. Not to forget the official account of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) also made a fuss.
The racer nicknamed Baby Alien arrived in Lombok with his crew and other racers on Monday, February 7, to take part in the pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit. Arriving in West Nusa Tenggara Province, he immediately shared a selfie moment near the inn.
This activity immediately attracted the attention of Indonesian netizens. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy immediately joined in with comments that promoted local Indonesian foods.
"Welcome, Marquez! Don't forget to try some local food while you're here. Taliwang Chicken, Sate Rembiga, Nasi Puyung," wrote the official Twitter account of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
Marquez had doubts about being able to take part in the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test. This was because he had previously suffered from double vision or diplopia which hampered his journey in racing last season.
However, he is now recovering and has received permission to take part in the pre-season test which took place in Sepang, Malaysia. This is the first time the 28-year-old has ridden MotoGP since October 2021.
Injury problems and double vision have plagued Marquez in the last two seasons. It started with the accident he experienced at the Spanish MotoGP at the Jerez Circuit in July 2020.
The accident forced Marquez to undergo surgery for an upper arm fracture which took a long time to heal.
After being absent throughout the 2020 season, Marquez returned to the track the following season. However, he encountered a new problem because he was sentenced to have double vision impairment.
The verdict was after he had an accident during a motocross practice session in early November 2021. The injury forced him to end the 2021 MotoGP season early.
He had previously suffered from double vision in 2011. As a consequence, he was forced to be unable to appear in the two final race series in MotoGP 2021, namely the Algarve and Valencia series.
