The Ministry Of Tourism And Creative Economy Presents The Bubble System Quarantine Warm Up Vacation Program In Bali

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy presents the Warm-Up Vacation program for foreign tourists / Foreign Travel Actors (PPLN) who will fly to Bali so that they can undergo quarantine in hotels with the bubble system.

Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nia Niscaya, in a Weekly Press Briefing, said that this program allows a person to be active in a bubble area specially prepared by hotel managers, not just confined to the room.

"Hopefully this program builds market confidence that Bali is ready for foreign tourists. The Warm-Up Vacation is a quarantine that doesn't feel like a quarantine", she said, quoted by Antara on Monday, February 7.

In the first to the third quarter of 2021, Bali's economy is known to have contracted by 3.43 percent.

As international flights to Bali have returned to activity since Friday, February 7, the Warm-Up Vacation program is offered to PPLNs so they can undergo quarantine in hotels with the bubble system.

By prioritizing the precautionary principle in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Warm-Up Vacation package is expected to make PPLN not feel that they are undergoing quarantine limited by space, but rather feel that they are preparing for a holiday in Bali.

"So you can do activities outside your room, not all hotels are ready with this program. Now only five hotels are ready and there are 447 rooms”, said Nia.

The five hotels are Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua and Westin Resort which are both located in Nusa Dua, Griya Santrian in Sanur, Viceroy in Ubud, and Royal Tulip in Jimbaran.

The package prices offered range from IDR 10 million to IDR 15 million for 5 days 4 nights, starting from three meals a day and services for all activities.

"This will certainly be studied and monitored together", she said.

Every hotel that provides a Warm-Up Vacation quarantine package must have prepared a special bubble area. Thus, PPLN can enjoy various activities such as going to the beach, playing ping pong, or swimming.

In the future, there will be additional hotels with these program facilities because there are still 61 hotels with 3,400 other rooms that are still implementing the usual quarantine system (limited only in rooms or around villas).

Currently, 19 hotels are said to have applied to become hotels with a bubble system and their readiness still needs to be verified.

“This (Warm-Up Vocation Program) is a kind of trust-building and this is where the government comes in. It has to be started, it has to be piloted (tested), otherwise, we can't evaluate what needs to be improved", said Deputy Nia.
