Number Of Cases Increases, Tangerang Regency Government Implements Distance Learning At Elementary And Middle School Levels
TANGERANG - Head of the Tangerang Regency Education Office (Disdik), Syaifullah said, for elementary and junior high schools, distance learning was again implemented (PJJ). This is based on the results of the monitoring and evaluation of the Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force, after realizing that there was a spike in cases.
"Starting today, the Tangerang Regency Government will re-implement the online teaching and learning process for a while," said Syaifullah when contacted, Monday, February 7.
Syaifullah explained last week, since January 27, 2022, 13 schools in the Tangerang Regency area are still holding face-to-face teaching and learning activities.
This follows a case of COVID-19 transmission in schools, based on the results of testing and tracing.

"But because of the policy from the Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force, they will still follow the learning process with the PJJ system. This is because there is an increase in COVID-19 cases, so the schools return to PJJ in accordance with the Tangerang Regency Education Office circular," he explained.
Syaifullah explained that the PJJ policy, which was implemented in elementary and junior high schools in the Tangerang Regency area, would continue to be implemented as long as positive cases of COVID-19 in the area continued to increase.
"It has not been determined how long this PJJ will be implemented. We ask parents and students to understand the current conditions, so that the implementation of face-to-face learning (PTM) is truly safe for all," he explained.
