Barcelona Vs Atletico Madrid 4-2: Blaugarana Reach Top 4 Of La Liga
JAKARTA - Barcelona moved up to the last four after overcoming Atletico Madrid's resistance with a score of 4-2 in the 23rd jornada of the Spanish League, at Camp Nou on Sunday night.
Launching Antara, Monday, four Barca goals were scored by Jordi Alba, Pablo Gavi, Ronald Araujo, and Dani Alves each. Meanwhile, Atletico scored two goals through Yannick Carrasco and Luis Suarez.
The win sees Barcelona move past Atletico Madrid into fourth place, with the Blaugrana now two points clear of Diego Simeone's side.
It will also be the second debut match for Adama Traore and the first for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Meanwhile, Daniel Wass made his first match for Atletico.
The match was running with high intensity from the start of the first half. Atletico managed to steal the first goal when the game had only been running for eight minutes through Carrasco's first-time kick after continuing Suarez's curse. The score became 1-0.
Barcelona immediately responded with a goal two minutes later. Dani Alves crossed to the left which was met by Jordi Alba's spectacular volley. The position is 1-1.
The goal is increasingly making Barcelona dominate the match. They successfully turned the lead through Gavi's header to meet Adama Traore's cross from the right. Barcelona won 2-1.
Araujo increased the hosts' advantage through his goal in the 43rd minute, after taking advantage of the chaos in front of Jan Oblak's goal. The score 3-1 for Barca's advantage lasted until halftime.
Just four minutes after the second half started, Alves scored to give Barca a 4-1 lead. This is Alves' first goal since returning to Camp Nou.
Diego Simeone made three substitutions at once and changed the game. Atletico is now more often pressing Barcelona.
Luis Suarez revived Atletico's hopes after scoring an additional goal for his team in the 58th minute. Koke's corner was headed by Jose Jimenez in the middle of the penalty box, the ball was then forwarded by Suarez with a header near the post to rip the Barcelona goal apart. Barcelona is still leading 4-2.

Atletico played more aggressively after winning the number of players, but Barcelona was able to maintain a 4-2 advantage until the game was finished.
