Police Arrest Five Gangster Members Who Killed Cafe Visitors In Cibinong

BOGOR – Five gangsters were arrested by the Bogor Resort Police for being involved in an assault that killed a cafe visitor in Cibinong on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit at the Bogor Resort Police, Commissioner Adjutant Siswo Tarigan, said that of the five arrested, eight gangsters were still at large.

"We have arrested five people, while we are still chasing eight other people," said Commissioner Adjutant Siswo Tarigan, quoting Antara, Wednesday, February 2.

According to him, the motive of the gangster group was revenge, because the suspects in the cafe attack claimed to have been attacked by an unknown group.

"From the confession, the suspect has carried out at least seven attacks in the Bogor City and Regency areas," said Siswo.

Now, the Police have arrested five suspected gangster members, two of whom are the main perpetrators of the stabbing and one of the gangster leaders.

Previously, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Cibinong Police, Commissioner Adjutant Yunli Pengestu said that his party received a report regarding a gangster stabbing at a cafe at 05.00 western Indonesia time, Sunday, January 23, resulting in the death of one person.

"Suddenly a car and several motorbikes came carrying a machete (sharp weapon) and attacked," said Yunli.

According to him, when the attack occurred, eight people who were in the cafe tried to escape, but one of them failed to escape and became the victim of a stab wound and then bleeds to death.

"He was rushed to the hospital, maybe because he was bleeding so he probably died on the way," he said.
