Nine Perpetrators Of Karaoke Burning In Sorong Suspected, Seven Still In Pursuit
SORONG - The Sorong City Police have again arrested nine perpetrators in connection with the bloody clashes and the burning of the Doubel0 karaoke in Sorong city, West Papua, which killed 18 people.
Previously, the Sorong City Police had arrested two perpetrators of the stabbing in the clash, bringing the total number of perpetrators of the bloody incident to 11 people.
The West Papuan Police Chief, Inspector General Tornagogo Sihombing, confirmed that his party had arrested 11 perpetrators related to the bloody clashes that claimed 18 lives in the city of Sorong on January 25, 2022.
He said of the 11 people, two of the perpetrators stabbed a victim to death in clashes, while nine of the perpetrators set fire to the karaoke Doubel0 which killed 17 innocent people.
"All the perpetrators and evidence have been secured at the Sorong City Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings to account for their actions", said Inspector General Tornagogo in Sorong, as reported by Antara on Saturday, January 29.
The Kapolda explained that the Doubel0 karaoke fire that killed 17 innocent people was carried out by nine actors who had their respective roles.
Of the nine perpetrators of the Doubel0 karaoke arson, one of the perpetrators with the initials FM used fuel in the form of gasoline to enter the Doubel0 karaoke, burning the sofa, causing a fire throughout the building.

He said that there were still around seven perpetrators and the provocateurs of the bloody clashes whose identities had been pocketed were still being pursued by the police.
Kapolda hopes that all parties do not protect the perpetrators. Inspector-General of Police Tornagogo Sihombing also said that the positive law is everything or the supreme commander in resolving the conflicting cases that resulted in the death of 18 people.
He added that the perpetrators were threatened with multi-layered articles of deliberately taking the lives of others with threats of 20 years or even life in prison.
