Sad Facts That PIK 2 Illegal Loans Were Raided, Employees Were Paid IDR 3 Million With A Working Duration Of 10 Hours/day

JAKARTA - Dozens of employees of an online loan company (Pinjol) who were raided in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area turned out to be earning salaries below the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR). They work 10 hours per day.

"(Employee salaries, ed) a minimum of IDR 3 million", said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes E. Zulpan, when confirmed, Thursday, December 27.

As we know, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, revised the amount of the increase in the provincial minimum wage (UMP) for DKI Jakarta in 2022 from 0.85% to 5.1%, or an increase of IDR 225,667 from the 2021 UMP. Thus, the DKI Jakarta UMP in 2022 is IDR 4 .641,854.

In addition, the results of the temporary inspection of the employees were employed for 10 hours every day. They start working from 09.00 WIB to 19.00 WIB.

"Then the activities carried out by Pinjol in this place do not stop for 1 week. They continue to operate every day from 9 am to 7 pm", said Zulpan.

On the previous occasion, Zulpan stated that out of the dozens of employees, the average number of employees was minors. However, the amount has not been specified.

"We see that a lot of people who work here are underage people", said Zulpan.

Previously, the Special Criminal Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya Police raided an online loan office (Pinjol) in the Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 area, North Jakarta. Of the raids, 99 people were arrested.

Of the dozens of people who were arrested, one of them was a manager. While the rest are temporary employees.

"It consists of 1 manager, 98 employees", he said.
