COVID-19 Update As Of January 26: Continues To Increase, Daily Cases Increase By 7,010
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 349,041 specimens were examined with the results of 7,010 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,301,193 and active cases have increased by 4,421 to 29,299", said Health Ministry data, Wednesday, January 26.
The number of recovered cases today increased by 2,582 cases, bringing the total to 4,127,662 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 7 people and the total was 144,254 people.
The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 3,509 cases and a total of 886,999 cases. Followed by West Java with 1,619 new cases with a total of 715,605 cases. Banten has 1,133 new cases and a total of 137,735 cases. Then, East Java with 238 new cases and a total of 401,308 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,512 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 705 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 105 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 95 recovered cases.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1 percent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 8,849 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 182,500,827 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 125,673,513 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,374,184. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
