Police Headquarters Says Number Of Victims Of Clashes In Sorong 18 People
JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters stated that the number of victims behind the clashes between two groups of residents in Sorong was not 19 but 18. The majority of the victims were caught in the arson of Double O Executive Karaoke & Club Sorong, West Papua.
"(Victim, ed) 17 were burned at the Double O Executive Karaoke & Club nightclub", said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, when confirmed, Tuesday, January 25.
Then, based on the data, there was one other person who died due to the act of persecution. However, their identity has not been disclosed.
"One died as a result of persecution", said Dedi.
The number of victims seems to rectify the previous data. Where it was stated that 19 people were victims.

"Investigations into the case are continuing to reveal the perpetrators. The West Papua Police and the Sorong Police will reveal the intellectual actors and the perpetrators of the two warring community groups. Entrust to the Police to enforce the case to the end. The public is asked to refrain from taking retaliatory actions", Said Ramadhan.
