The Government Boosts The Distribution Of Booster Vaccines Ahead Of The Mandalika MotoGP

JAKARTA - The government through the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto has ensured the availability of a booster vaccine in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) region, especially in Lombok, to support the Mandalika MotoGP event. He said this when holding a virtual PPKM evaluation press conference today.

"Regarding the preparation for the Mandalika MotoGP, it was reported that a booster for January to March has been prepared for 76,718 targets", he said, Monday, January 24.

According to Airlangga, this effort complements the previous dose of vaccination, which was already at a fairly high level.

"That Central Lombok dose 1 is already 87.9 percent and dose 2 is 61.1 percent", he said.

Meanwhile, in the capital city of NTB, Mataram, the distribution of vaccines has even exceeded the predetermined level.

“In Mataram City (vaccination) we have received 110 orders because the people who are injected are not only residents of Mataram city (and there are other residents). Meanwhile, the second dose has reached 78.6 percent with the readiness of the booster vaccine as much as 158,301 doses", he said.

For information, the government continues to pursue the level of vaccine distribution as one of the mandatory requirements in supporting the MotoGP event. Meanwhile, the most prestigious motorcycle racing event is planned to be held on March 20, 2022, at the Mandalika International Street Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara.
