Edy Mulyadi's Insults Are More Dangerous Than Bahar And Ferdinand, Can Provoke Conflict

JAKARTA - The Executive Director of the Legal Mafia Eradication Committee (KPMH) Habib Muannas Alaidid, SH asked the police to immediately arrest former PKS candidate Edy Mulyadi who is strongly suspected of insulting the people of Kalimantan.

Even for Habib Muannas, Edy Mulyadi's insulting remarks were more dangerous than those of Bahar Smith and Ferdinand Hutahaean.

"The Indonesian National Police must immediately arrest Edi Mulyadi not because of insults against Prabowo but for accusations of hatred and demeaning ethnic groups in Indonesia, especially our brothers in East Kalimantan. Edy Mulyadi's words are more dangerous than Bahar Smith and Ferdinand Hutahaean because they can provoke civil conflict and potential riots," said Habib Muannas in his statement, Monday, January 24.

Habib Muannas Alaidid also asked the National Police to examine all parties seen in the event where Edy Mulyadi made his video content.

"Not only checking Edy Mulyani, but the Police can also examine all those present, especially the initiators of the event to be held criminally responsible, was there any malicious consensus in the event?" continued Habib Muannas Alaidid.

Habib Muannas Alaidid also mentioned several criminal articles that could be used to ensnare Edy Mulyadi and colleagues.

"Article 14 paragraphs 1 and 2 or Article 15 of Law No. 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations and or Article 28 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45A of Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Transactions and Information (ITE) and Law No. 40 of 2008 concerning Elimination of Racial and Ethnic Discrimination," concluded Habib Muannas.
