Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force Names 35 People Who Are Exposed, Cases Of Local Transmission

TANGERANG REGENCY - The spokesperson for the Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force, Dr. Hendra Tarmizi admitted that in his area there were dozens who were exposed to active COVID-19. Hendra said, the number reached 35 people as of January 19.

"Today, there are 35 active cases," said Hendra when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, January 19.

Hendra said the dozens of people who were confirmed positive were not from overseas trips. They don't do any crowd-generating activities.

“This exposed person is not going anywhere. It's just normal, not going out of the country (local transmission) of all kinds," explained Hendra.

In addition, for the area most exposed to COVID-19, namely East Sepatan, Tangerang Regency, there were seven confirmed positive cases of the Coronavirus.

"If I'm not mistaken five to seven, between that. The remaining patients are two and three," he said.

However, Hendra did not know whether the dozens who were exposed to COVID-19 were exposed to the delta or Omicron variant.

"I don't know, because we have to check the lab," he said.

Regarding anticipating the increase in COVID-19, his party has extended the period of rumah lawan COVID-19, at the Yasmin Hotel, Tangerang Regency.
