Overflowing Water From The JORR Toll Road Enters Residential Settlement In Benda, Residents: So Many Puddles
TANGERANG - The overflowing water from the channel under the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) has entered residential areas in Benda District, Tangerang City, Banten Province.
"Yesterday morning it rained with high intensity, then in the afternoon a number of areas experienced inundation due to overflowing water that did not flow into the provided channel. The crossing path of the water channel was blocked," said Benda Subdistrict Head Achmad Suhaely when contacted from Tangerang, Wednesday 19 January.
"The impact of overflow from waterways under JORR 2, there are 18 areas where there are inundations with the most severe height reaching 60 centimeters," he said.

According to him, the puddles occurred in RT04/RW and RT04/RW 01 in Belendung Village and in RT05/RW7, RT01/RW 04, RT03/RW07, RT04/RW04, RT01/RW01, RT04/RW06, RW 08 neighborhoods, Duta Garden, and Halim Perdana Kusuma Street in Jurumudi Baru Village.
In addition, he continued, the neighborhoods of RT04/RW05, RT06/RW08, and RW08 in addition to Benda Utama in Jurumudi Village as well as RW 02, RW 04, RW 05, RW 07, and RW 10 in Benda Village were also inundated.
Achmad Suhaely said that the stagnant water caused traffic jams on a number of roads so that the sub-district government officials along with police officers and the Transportation Service came down to regulate vehicle traffic.
