Lebak Regency Government Verify Data On Damaged Building Due To Banten Earthquake
BANTEN - The Lebak Regency Government, Banten Province verified the damage to houses, religious facilities, village offices, and school buildings that were affected by the 6.6 magnitude tectonic earthquake that occurred Friday, January 14.
"The results of the verification will be reported to the Regent Iti Octavia," said Head of the Lebak Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Febby Rizky Pratama, Monday, January 17.
The Lebak Regency Government, in the verification, involved related agencies, including the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office, the Housing, Settlement, and Land Areas (Perkimtan) Office, as well as the local BPBD.
The building, which was damaged by the earthquake, will later be assisted by the Lebak Regency Government, the Banten Provincial Government as well as the National Disaster Management Agency (BNBP).
"We will immediately make the results of the verification of the damaged houses to be submitted to the Regional Government," he said.

Based on the results of data collection from the Lebak BPBD, it was reported that the number of houses that suffered damage was recorded at 274 units, consisting of 16 heavily damaged, 32 moderately damaged, and 226 lightly damaged houses.
In addition, eight school buildings were damaged, such as SMPN 3 Wanasalam, SDN 1 Sukaresmi, MAN Gunungkencana, SMP Satap 9 Bayah, and MI Mathla'ul Anwar.
Other damage, he said, was a village office, six mosques, and a business place.
"All buildings damaged by natural disasters will receive repair assistance," he said.
The tectonic earthquake centered in the waters of Ujung Kulon Pandeglang was affected in Lebak Regency as many as 19 sub-districts, including:
Districts of Cihara, Banjarsari, Cijaku, Malimping, Wanasalam, Gunungkencana, Cibadak and Cirinten, Sobang, Cikulur, Rangkasbitung, Lebakgedong, Cigemblong, Leuwidamar, Bayah, Cibeber, Panggarangan, Bojongmanik, and Cimarga Districts.
There were no fatalities as a result of the earthquake, but two residents were injured as a result of falling houses.
"The two residents have recovered after undergoing medical treatment at the local health center," he explained.
