I'm Well! 102 Central Bangka Police Personnel Already Receive Booster Vaccines

JAKARTA - 102 personnel of the Central Bangka Police, Bangka Belitung Islands were given a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine, to anticipate the Omicron variant virus.

"We have started giving booster vaccine doses to the community, for the initial stage we are giving it to personnel," said Central Bangka Police Chief, AKBP Moch Risya Mustario in Koba, Monday, January 17, as reported by Antara.

Central Bangka Police have opened vaccine booths at several points, including at the local police station.

"This booster vaccine is the third dose of booster vaccine given to those who have been injected with the first and second doses of vaccine," he said.

This booster vaccine dose is also to anticipate the spread of the amicron virus, which is a new variant that needs to be watched out for.

"This booster vaccine or third dose is a government program that is given to the public for free," he said.

He explained that the booster vaccine has been programmed and the entire community, from health workers, public services to the community, will also receive it.

Data from the Central Bangka District Health Office noted that as of January 16, 2022, 118,999 residents had been vaccinated, or 77.64 percent of the total 153,277.
