Allo Bank Owned By Conglomerate Chairul Tanjung One Step Ahead To Become KBMI 2, Bank With Core Capital Above IDR 6 Trillion

JAKARTA - PT Allo Bank Indonesia Tbk (BBHI) will enter the Bank Group Based on Core Capital (KBMI) 2 or banks with core capital above IDR 6 trillion, if the rights issue is fully absorbed at the beginning of this year.

Based on the financial statements for the third quarter of 2021 or as of September 30, 2021, the core capital of the bank owned by conglomerate Chairul Tanjung is recorded at IDR 1.25 trillion. This value increased when compared to core capital in the same period the previous year, which was IDR 290.88 billion.

Citing information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, Monday, January 17, Allo Bank is currently in the process of a rights issue to increase its core capital to IDR 6 trillion. This additional capital action is in line with the Regulation of Financial Services Authority (POJK) No. 12/2020 which requires a minimum bank capital of IDR 3 trillion in December 2022.

In the Limited Public Offering (PUT) III, the company offered 10.04 billion ordinary shares with a nominal value of IDR 100 and an exercise price of IDR 478 per share. Thus, the targeted funds are IDR 4.8 trillion.

"Therefore, if all of the PUT III funds are obtained, the Company's core capital will increase to reach IDR 6 trillion," wrote Allo Bank management.

The Company determines the trading period for additional capital with pre-emptive rights (HMETD) starting from January 13, 2022 to January 19, 2022. Rights that are not exercised until the end of the period are declared no longer valid.

In this action, Allo Bank was recorded to have 6 strategic investors, namely PT Bukalapak.com Tbk., Abadi Investments Pte. Ltd., PT Indolife Investama Perkasa, H Holdings Inc., Trusty Cars Pte. Ltd, and PT CT Corpora.
