KEBUMEN - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo came down the mountain to work in Kebumen, Tuesday, January 11. He toured the village, had virtual meetings, drank coffee together, and chatted at people's homes. And it turns out that this is Ganjar's hobby that he has not been able to do for two years.

Ganjar travels all day around Kebumen. The main agenda is to hand over financial assistance from the Central Java Provincial Government to help reduce extreme poverty in Kebumen.

There are 4 points in Seliling Village, Alian District that Ganjar visited. Ganjar also came to Kalirejo Village, Karanggayam District. Interacting, providing toys for children, including treating them to candies and snacks made the atmosphere lively in Kalirejo Village.

The agenda was not over yet, Ganjar had time to rest at the home of the Gunungsari Village Head, Karanggayam District. Not only in transit, but Ganjar will also spend the night at the house.

In the cold mountain air, Ganjar headed to the Gunungsari Village Hall. There, Ganjar "hit a ride" to take part in a virtual meeting held by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment.

After the meeting, Ganjar greeted the health instructor and forest farmer communication in the village hall. Entitled Ngopi Bareng (Coffee Together, ed), the event brought together Ganjar with health educators, MSME players and conservationists.

"Two years since I left this event, today we will revive it. You see, the enthusiasm of the community is good," said Ganjar when met after having coffee together at the Gunungsari Village Hall, Karanggayam District.

He said this kind of activity was often done before the pandemic. From this activity, Ganjar can meet directly with villagers who have the potential to be maximized.

"So that we can get the insight, so of course, if this can work, we will work together with the programs in the provincial and central districts. So it will be beneficial," said Ganjar.

After the event at the village hall, Ganjar returned home to residents to rest. However, before resting, Ganjar still had time to say hello and chat with the residents of Gunungsari Village. This moment was felt special by Sukarjo, the Head of Gunungsari Village.

"I thank you, Mr. Governor, Mr. Regent, I thank you all. This is the Karanggayam sub-district, as far as I know, this is the first time a governor has slept in the house of a resident of Gunungsari Village," he said.

Sukarjo sees Ganjar as a popular figure. Ganjar is indiscriminate in his interactions.

“Very popular, he can always embrace small communities. He doesn't care how small or big it is," said Sukarjo.
