MAKASSAR - The Mayor of Makassar, Moh Ramdhan Pomanto (Danny Pomanto), visited the house of his resident, one of the cargo crew members belonging to Saudi Arabia, Surya Hidayat Pratama after learning that his citizens were being held hostage by the Yemeni Al Houthi militia.

Danny Pomanto said that his presence at the victim's house was received by Pratama's wife, Sri Rahayu, to provide moral support to stay strong and pray for the safety of all the hostages.
"I came to Mr. Surya's house, a victim of hostage-taking in Yemen. We visited his father, his wife, his mother, his extended family. We came here to provide support. God willing, the country will not remain silent", he said.
