Two Residents In Menteng Exposed To Omicron, Just Returned From Abroad
JAKARTA - Head of the Menteng Sub-district Health Center, Central Jakarta, Rusmala Dewi, said that his party had found two positive residents of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in two sub-districts, namely Menteng and Cempaka Putih.
"Yes, there is one resident, currently the person in question is at the Kemayoran Athlete House. Previously he was self-quarantining in the Freezer apartment, Kebon Sirih," said Head of the Menteng Sub-district Health Center, Rusmala Dewi when contacted by reporters, Monday 10 January.
The case of the Omicron variant is in the elite area of Menteng, which incidentally is an upper-class area. In fact, the findings were known after one of the residents had just returned from the European continent.
Rusmala explained that the case of the Omicron variant in his area started with a complaint from the Freezer apartment that someone had been exposed to COVID-19. Upon receiving this finding, the sub-district health center immediately started tracing.
"From the information I got, it was a resident who had just returned from abroad. He continued to self-quarantine there for 10 days. After leaving there, it turned out that he started showing symptoms and was immediately swabbed. The result was positive for the Omicron variant," he said.

Finding the findings of the case, the Menteng sub-district health center immediately traced the apartment employees. The results of the tracing are to find out whether there are employees who are exposed or not.
"We have swab tested 50 people, the results are no one exposed," he said.
Confirmed separately, the Head of the Cempaka Putih Subdistrict Health Center, Murni L. Naibaho confirmed that cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 were also found in her area. Previously, Hotel C - one was known as a quarantine place for people who had just returned from abroad.
"In terms of the number of people affected by Omicron, I don't know exactly how many, it is clear that many have also been affected. All of them have been taken to the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran," she told reporters.
