Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma Also Raised The Issue Of Anti Sexual Harassment

JAKARTA - It has been three years since the second film, Rapi Films and Screenplay Films presented Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma. This film concludes the story of Jefri Nichol and Amanda Rawles' journey from a story made by Erisca Febriani.

Through her third film, Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma, she takes on a social issue that many people experience, namely sexual harassment. However, with the romance of Nathan (Jefri Nichol) and Salma (Amanda Rawles).

"We want to deliver the love story of salma nathan for the last time perfectly. Whether it's the emotion, it's perfect. What you are witnessing is the best,” said Kuntz Agus as the director.

There are many differences from the previous film, from the conflict to the character development that accompanied the audience from 2017.

“In the second film, I was really depressed and needed help to be sincere. Now, I take Nathan's place. I, who is more mature, help a lot of people,” said Susan Sameeh in South Jakarta on Thursday, January 6.

"It's interesting from all sides interesting. The first Dear Nathan was my stepping stone in my career. I got more and more interested when I read the story. Very interesting," explained Amanda Rawles as Salma.

Jefri Nichol also felt that there was a drastic difference in Nathan's character from the previous films.

"Initially, I protested in the middle of the story why Nathan was described as not understanding what the situation should be, whereas when I read 'why isn't Nathan like this'," said Jefri Nichol.

"It turns out that Nathan's maturation process is in the middle. So it's not suddenly wise," he continued.

Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma told the story of Nathan and Salma's relationship which began to drift apart due to their busy lives. Nathan often conducts demonstrations while Salma focuses on lectures and organizations.

One time, Nathan heard from Rebecca (Susan Sameh) that their college friend, Zanna (Indah Permatasari) had been sexually harassed. Nathan was determined to help his friend.

The film Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma will be screened in Indonesian cinemas starting January 13, 2022.
