The Remaining Infiltration Well Excavation Has Not Been Completed: The Diggers Return To Their Villages For New Year Celebration

JAKARTA - Piles of soil material left over from the construction of infiltration wells belonging to the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service have closed the exit road access at the Salemba Education Complex, Senen District, Central Jakarta. As a result of this project, motorists have difficulty crossing the road.

Sutarmo, one of the infiltration well workers said that the pile of soil material left over from the construction of the infiltration well had not been transported.

"What I know is that the builders are returning to their villages. This land is indeed the rest of the excavation of the infiltration well and the plan is to transport it," he said, Tuesday, January 4.

Sutarmo, who has only been working as a porter digging holes for 2 weeks, reasoned that he had not yet been transported because many workers returned home during the 2022 new year holiday.

Separately, Suwarno, one of the security officers of SMA 68 Salemba, said that the road that cannot be passed is the access road to exit the complex.

As a result of the road being impassable, there was chaos when four-wheeled vehicles wanted to enter and leave.

"Access is indeed for an exit, but you can see that there are lots of piles of soil leftover from the construction of infiltration wells. This means that the entrance access is combined with vehicle exit access," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the SDA Implementation Unit (Kasatpel) of Senen Sub-district, Fahmi said, the construction of the infiltration well is the domain of the SDA Service. He confirmed that there was a lot of soil material that interfered with vehicle road access.

"In the sub-district, the state of the soil material there is also being discussed," he said.
