Through The Rocket Kick, Pratama Arhan Is Nominated For AFF's Top Goalscorer 2020

JAKARTA - Pratama Arhan has a good record again after appearing for the Indonesian national team in the 2020 AFF Cup. After getting the best young player title, now Arhan is nominated for the best goal scorer.

Quoted from the official AFF website, the organizers recorded the 10 best goalscorers in the competition, in which there were two names of Indonesian players included, namely Pratama Arhan and Witan Sulaeman.

The same source also said that the determination of the best goal scorer will be chosen through open voting on the AFF official website. Until this news was published, Arhan's name was the top candidate who was most voted for with a total of 15.105 votes.

Arhan's inclusion in the nomination for the best goal scorer in the 2020 AFF Cup cannot be separated from his action when he appeared in the match against Malaysia. In the final match of Group B, Arhan received a pass from Irfan Jaya on the left and processed it with his right before releasing a hard left-footed shot that the Malaysian goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi was unable to anticipate.

Arhan's execution at that time attracted the attention of foreign media who later dubbed him the 'Rocket Kick'. Not only because of his slick action, the kick also fulfilled the national team's 4-1 victory over Malaysia.

Following behind Arhan, Witan Sulaeman was also nominated for the best goal scorer with a total of 7000 votes. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese player, Nguyen Tien Linh, came in third with 1303 votes.

Thailand also contributed two players in the race for the best goal award through Teerasil Dangda and team captain Chanatip Songkrasin. However, both are in a low position because they do not get much support.

Here are the 10 AFF Cup Best Goalscorer Nominees:
