Deer Antler Finder Finds Body Of MMA Fighter David Koenig In Missouri Forest

JAKARTA - MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter David Koenig's body was found in a forest in Branson, Missouri, according to a statement from the Branson police department.

Koening, 25, has been missing since February 2020, and his body was found by residents who were looking for deer antlers in the forest.

"Our department and the incredible group of volunteers have never stopped in our efforts to find Mr. Koenig", said Branson Police Chief, Jeff Matthews.

"While this is not the ending we hoped for, we extend our sincere condolences to Mr. Koenig's family and friends".

Koenig's mother, Tracey Koenig, explains the reasons behind her son's disappearance nearly two years ago.

"Dave (Koening) has been battling addiction for years", he said.

Koening disappeared on February 8, 2020, after writing various messages to his acquaintances in which he asked for their help to "get out of trouble".
