After New Year's Eve, Jabodetabek Arrival Of 137,207 Vehicles

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded as many as 137,207 vehicles returning to the Jabotabek area on the D Day of the New Year 2022 or Saturday, January 1, 2022.

"This figure is the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) from several Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (east direction), Cikupa GT (west direction) and Ciawi GT (south direction)", said Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head, Dwimawan Heru, in a written statement received in Jakarta, Sunday, January 2, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the total volume of traffic returning to Jabotabek was down 2.8 percent when compared to normal traffic for the November 2021 period with a total of 141,219 vehicles.

For traffic distribution back to Jabotabek from the four directions, the majority were 70,109 vehicles (51.1 percent) from the east (Trans Java and Bandung, from the west (Merak) 31,273 vehicles (22.8 percent), and 35,825 vehicles (26 .1 percent) from the south (Puncak, Bogor).

From the east, traffic returns to Jabotabek from the direction of Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 70,109 vehicles, an increase of 7.0 percent from normal traffic.

Traffic returning to Jabotabek from Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 37,211 vehicles, increased by 11.0 percent from normal traffic.

The total traffic returning to Jabotabek from the Trans Java and Bandung directions via the two GTs was 32,898 vehicles, down by 2.9 percent from normal traffic.

From the west, the return traffic to Jabotabek from Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 31,273 vehicles, down 28.7 percent from normal traffic.

Meanwhile, from the south, the number of vehicles returning to Jabotabek from the summit via GT Ciawi on the Jagorawi Toll Road was 35,825 vehicles, an increase of 12.4 percent from normal traffic.

Jasa Marga urges toll road users to anticipate travel before entering the toll road. Make sure vehicles and drivers are in top condition, comply with health protocols (use masks, wash hands, keep your distance and stay away from crowds) while in the rest area.

Toll road users are also advised to fill up with sufficient fuel and electronic money balances, as well as obey the signs and directions of officers and rest if tired of driving.
