KPK: Commissioner Lili Pintauli's Problem Has Been Resolved
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission Alexander Marwata said the problems of his colleague, KPK Commissioner Lili Pintauli Siregar had been resolved after the decision of the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission.
"We saw the process starting from the decision of the Council, so we consider that Mrs. Lili's issue has been resolved," said Alexander Marwata at the 2021 KPK Performance Press Conference at the KPK building, Jakarta, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 29.
The KPK Council on August 30, 2021, stated that Lili Pintauli Siregar was proven to have violated the code of ethics and code of conduct and was sentenced to severe sanctions.
"And I see from Mrs. Lili herself that this has become a lesson, so what can I do to improve myself," said Alexander.
Alexander also hopes that the public can see it more objectively.
"Help us, it's okay for us to be criticized as long as there is an error, it is reported to the KPK Council. So our journalist friends, please monitor us if we make a mistake, please report it to the Council," said Alexander.

In the Dewas decision on August 20, 2021, the Dewas stated that Lili Pintauli was guilty of violating the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct in the form of abusing her influence as a KPK leader for personal interests and dealing directly with parties whose cases are being handled by the KPK as regulated in Article 4 paragraph 2 letter b, namely regarding abusing position and influence and Article 4 paragraph 2 letter a, namely holding direct or indirect relationships with suspects, defendants, convicts, or other parties who are related to cases of criminal acts of corruption.
Lili was given a severe sanction in the form of cutting her basic salary by 40 percent for 12 months or Rp1,848 million.
Lili is considered proven to have used her authority as a KPK leader to the Mayor of Tanjungbalai M Syahrial to pay the service fee for the former Acting Director of PDAM Tirta Kualo Ruri Prihatini who is Lili's brother.
He also contacted Syahrial by telephone by saying "This is your name on my desk, shame you still took Rp200 million" and Syahrial answered "that's an old thing, Mom, please help", then Lili replied "Pray a lot of you".
Lili even recommended a lawyer named Arief Aceh a lawyer in Medan by providing his phone number and Lili also did not share her communication with Syahrial with other KPK leaders.
