Warning For Caucasians In Bali, Foreigners Whose New Year's Party Violates Prokes Will Be Expelled From The Island Of The Gods

DENPASAR - Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM) Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk confirmed that he would deport foreign nationals (WNA) found to have violated health protocols while having a party or party on New Year's Eve.

"Same as before (the sanctions) we at least expel. But, from the immigration side, it is only up to expulsion", said Jamaruli, Wednesday, December 29.

His party has prepared a supervision scheme for all Caucasians Bali in Bali during the new year.

"We will continue to monitor immigration, later (immigration) will do that. You don't have to tell them. If they are notified, it will leak and they will be monitored here, the party will be there", said Jamaruli.

According to him, foreigners will definitely hold a New Year's Eve party. But if you apply health protocols and obey the rules, the New Year's party is allowed.

"There must be a party, but after the hour set by the government, it will be obeyed. If it's a party, it can be done, but during the process, it's up to him. But what I can say is don't violate health protocols", said Jamaruli.

It is also reminded that foreigners or foreigners in Bali are prohibited from holding New Year's fireworks. Violators will be punished.

"We will also arrest if it is a foreigner who did it. I urge all citizens, especially those who are under our authority, to be foreigners, they must follow health protocols. If we have been reminded and still violate, then we will expel it", he said.

Since the pandemic, the number of foreign nationals in Bali has been around 130 thousand, dominated by Europeans. But in the last three months, it has decreased to around 112 thousand.

“Now there are around 112,000 those who can't go home (and) keep extending new visas. But Europe is dominant because it is difficult to return there, Australia is also there but not too many now", said Jamaruli.
