COVID-19 Update As Of December 28: 278 New Cases From Examination Of 247,047 Specimens
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 247,047 specimens were examined with the result that there were 278 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,262,157 and active cases are 4,614", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, December 28.
Today's recovered cases increased by 152 cases, bringing the total to 4,113,472 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 8 people and the total was 144,071 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 96 cases and a total of 865,130 cases. Followed by the Riau Islands with 50 new cases with a total of 54,180 cases. East Java has 23 new cases and a total of 400,013 cases. Then, West Java with 16 new cases and a total of 708,781 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 32 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 24 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 20 recovered cases, and East Nusa Tenggara with an additional 15 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 62,494,654.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.10 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,700 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
