Bank Fama Announces Annexed By Conglomerate Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatamdja's Company, Acquisition Value Of Almost Rp1 Trillion
JAKARTA - PT Bank Fama International announced that it had been officially acquired by a company owned by conglomerate Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatamadja, PT Elang Media Visitama (EMV), which is a subsidiary of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (Emtek).
This was conveyed by the Board of Directors of Bank Fama in an announcement regarding the results of the takeover published today, December 27. The announcement follows up on the summary of the PT Bank Fama International Acquisition Plan which was announced on November 5, 2021.
"The board of directors of the company hereby announces that PT Elang Media Visitama (EMV) has taken over 9,089,503,800 shares of the company, which represents 93 percent of all issued and paid-up shares of the company," the Board of Directors of Bank Fama wrote in the announcement.
The Board of Directors conveyed that the company and EMV had obtained the necessary approvals from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This is as stated in the Decision of Members of the OJK Board of Commissioners dated December 16, 2021, regarding the permit for the Takeover of PT Bank Fama International Shares by EMV.

In addition, the OJK approval is also contained in the decision of the members of the OJK Board of Commissioners dated December 16, 2021, regarding the results of the EMV Capability and Compliance Assessment as the prospective controlling shareholder of the company, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
"The takeover has also received approval from all the company's shareholders and has been effective since December 22, 2021," explained the board of directors.
Previously, Emtek's Corporate Secretary, Titi Maria Rusli, in information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange last Friday, December 24, said that EMV purchased 9,089,503,800 FAMA shares with a nominal value of Rp908.95 billion.
