Bogor Mayor Urges Residents Not To Crowd Christmas-New Year: Please Contemplate, Contemplate At Home
BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto appealed to the public to stay at home and not congregate during the Christmas and New Year's 2022 holidays.
"Please just contemplate or reflect at home, the way out is to avoid crowds, in places that look crowded," said Bima Arya, in Bogor quoted by Antara, Friday, December 24.
Bima Arya said the Bogor City Government together with the police and TNI had coordinated to monitor points where there could be indications of crowds.
The monitoring priority points are around Air Mancur, Tugu Kujang, Sempur, and BNR.
Bima Arya will go on a tour with the police accompanied by the Head of Bogor City Police, Kombes Pol Susatyo, not only on Christmas Eve, but also on New Year's Eve.
On this Christmas Eve, Bima and his entourage toured the Petra GPIP Bogor on Jalan Raya Cibuluh, Cibuluh Village, North Bogor District to the Bogor Cathedral Church on Jalan Captain Muslihat, Paledang Village, Central Bogor Glasses to ensure that Christian worship goes well.
In addition, Bima also emphasized that tightening health protocols had also begun to be carried out in restaurants and cafes in the Bogor City area.
"Including in public places such as restaurants and cafes. We make sure there must be progress," he said.
The Head of Bogor City Police, Kombes Susatyo, stated that there were six security points for Christmas and New Year's Eve 2022, accompanied by six mobile teams who would monitor the safety and health protocols of people leaving the house.
The police together with the Bogor City Government will also monitor 18 tourist attractions, including swimming pool tours, which had gone viral for not paying attention to the health protocols and capacity rules that were enforced.
In addition, anticipating the mobility of citizens starting from Christmas which falls on Saturday, December 25 and New Year's Day on Saturday, January 1, 2022, the police will enforce odd-even vehicle number plates.
"It just so happens that Christmas and New Year's celebrations are the weekend, so we will apply odd-even according to the conditions and situations on the ground," he said.
