COVID-19 Update As Of December 23: 136, Active Cases 4,642
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 289,085 specimens were examined with the result that there were 136 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,261,208 and active cases are 4,642", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, December 23.
Today's recovered cases increased by 232 cases, bringing the total to 4,112,524 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 8 people and the total was 144,042 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 26 cases and a total of 708,710 cases. Followed by Central Java with 22 new cases with a total of 486,824 cases. East Java has 17 new cases and a total of 399,940 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta with 16 new cases and a total of 864,796 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 53 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 52 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 26 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 20 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 61,732,344.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.10 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,231 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 154,494,115 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 109,257,071 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
