Ahead Of The 2020 AFF Cup Semifinals, Singapore Coach Calls Indonesia Aggressive
JAKARTA - Singapore will face Indonesia in the semifinals of the AFF Cup 2020, Wednesday. Ahead of the meeting, Tatsuma Yoshida said that the Indonesian national team was an aggressive team during their appearance in the group phase.
The Singapore coach even considered the ability of the Garuda squad to be far more qualified than the ability of his own team.
"This is a fact (Indonesia's strength is better) Indonesia is playing aggressively", Yoshida said during an online press conference ahead of the match on Tuesday, December 21.
Regarding the aggressiveness of Indonesia, Yoshida revealed this based on his observations of the four appearances of Evan Dimas et al in Group B. Based on that result, Yoshida will try to encourage his team to perform better when they meet Indonesia.
"We cannot underestimate them (the Indonesian national team). We will try to show our best as a team", continued the Japanese coach.
With an aggressive and consistent performance, Indonesia yielded sweet results by coming out as winners of Group B. This slick performance could not be separated from the various strategies devised by Shin Tae-yong.
About that, Yoshida called it a matter of course. However, whatever strategy Shin Tae-yong will use against Singapore later, Yoshida will try to dismantle it.

"We prepared for this match well. I am not worried about the condition of the players [after the match against Thailand]. Now I am happy and we are ready to face the semifinal match in this big tournament", he said.
