Police Target Three Big Churches In Tanjung Duren, Closely Supervised And Extra Security Ahead Of Christmas
JAKARTA - The Three Pillars of Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta, inspected four churches that would receive special security during the 2022 Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The Head of Grogol Petamburan Didiet said that Christmas worship activities will be held on December 24-25, 2021.
The four churches that have been reviewed are located in the Neo Soho Mall, the Kristoforus church, and the HKBP Petojo in the Tanjung Duren area.
"From what we saw earlier, it seems that almost all churches are ready to implement the application for protection and protection," he said, Tuesday, December 21.
From that check, the seats in all churches are well spaced so they don't spread COVID-19 because they are close together.
Possibly, there will be more security at the HKBP Petojo church because there are four worship services a day.
"This needs supervision and security. Earlier we saw that there was care to protect and the seats had been separated, so we expect the occupancy rate to be 50 percent," he said.
According to him, in the Grogol Petamburan sub-district, there are a dozen churches that will celebrate Christmas night. However, Didiet did not mention the exact number of churches in his jurisdiction.
"There are three big ones, which we reviewed earlier, especially the HKBP, there needs to be more intense supervision," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding violations, there are teams from Civil Service Police (Satpol PP), Sector Police (Polsek), and Military District Command (Koramil).
