DKI Kadinkes Ensures Children 6-11 Years Who Don't Have MCH Can Be Vaccinated With COVID, The Conditions Are Easy!

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Widyastuti, stated that children aged 6-11 years who do not have a Child Identity Card (KIA) can still be vaccinated by showing a domicile certificate from the local RT/RW according to their residential address in the Jakarta area.

"That children who can be injected at DKI Jakarta health facilities are those who have a NIK/domicile/schooled in DKI Jakarta," said Widyastuti in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, December 16.

The implementation of vaccination in schools in the DKI Jakarta area is targeted at students who attend the school, both residents of DKI Jakarta and from outside. For out-of-school vaccinations, he said, vaccine services are provided to children who are residents of DKI Jakarta, as evidenced by a Family Card or Child Identity Card (KIA) which includes a residential address in the DKI Jakarta area.

Then if the child is not a resident of DKI and is not registered as a student in an education unit in DKI Jakarta, but resides in DKI Jakarta, it can be vaccinated by showing a domicile certificate from the RT according to the residential address in the DKI Jakarta area and has been registered in the citizen data application.

The total number of children aged 6-11 years registered in the Basic Education Data (Dapodik) is 1.1 million children. "They can all be vaccinated in three places, namely schools, health centers and hospitals, as well as vaccination centers in the community," he said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has set a target of 987,422 children aged 6-11 years being vaccinated in Jakarta.

Since the launch of the children's vaccine on Tuesday (14/12), the number of children aged 6-11 years who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Jakarta has reached 38,928 children.

Widyastuti added, before a child is injected with the COVID-19 vaccine, a health screening process is carried out first and the vaccine used is the Bio Farma vaccine and or Coronavac which already has an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

This vaccination aims to prevent serious illness and death in infected children, support face-to-face learning, minimize transmission in schools or education units, and accelerate the achievement of group immunity.

"We hope that parents or guardians of children aged 6-11 years support their children to participate in the COVID-19 vaccination. Come to the vaccination location with a family card or other document that includes the child's NIK," he added.
