Joseph Suryadi's Play In Blasphemy Case Fails To Deceive The Police
JAKARTA - Joseph Suryadi has been named a suspect in the alleged blasphemy case. Although, there is a bit of theatrics in the process.
The alleged blasphemy case began when the hashtag #TangkapJosephSuryadi went viral on Twitter. The alleged blasphemy emerged after the Twitter account @NayoanAngelyca uploaded two photos. Where, one of the photos shows a picture of a man and a woman.
In the picture is written an inappropriate sentence about the religion of Islam and refers to the Prophet. This is considered blasphemy.
While the second photo shows a man with glasses. The man is referred to as Joseph Suryadi.
The drama in question, in this case, is Joseph Suryadi's alibi, which says his cellphone has been lost. Thus, he indirectly denied that he had committed blasphemy.
The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police Grand Commissioner E. Zulpan said the alibi came out of Joseph's mouth during the examination.
"Indeed, he admitted that his cellphone was lost," Zulpan told reporters, Tuesday, December 14.

However, the play that Joseph had made so as not to be involved in blasphemy ended in failure. Because the police exposed all the lies.
"Yes (lie about the lost cellphone)," said Zulpan.
Joseph's confession was known to be only a false statement because the results of the digital forensic search and the examination process found discrepancies.
Moreover, when investigators continued to dig up his statement, Joseph Suryadi finally admitted that his statement was just a lie.
"Yes, yes. That's his way of doing this (with an alibi) right," said Zulpan.
On the basis of the collected evidence, Joseph Suryadi was named a suspect.
Some of the evidence in the process of determining the suspect included a bundle of screenshots of conversations or uploads on social media, flash drives, ID cards, and cellphones.
Not only was he named a suspect, but Joseph Suryadi was also detained today. Detention is carried out after the investigator issues a warrant.
"From today, the person concerned has been detained at the Polda Metro Jaya. Then of course this case will continue to the next stage," said Zulpan.
With this determination, Joseph Suryadi was charged with multiple articles. Among other things, Article 27 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 1 and/or Article 28 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 2 of Law No. 16 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law No. 11 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and/or Article 156 of the Criminal Code. and or article 156 a of the Criminal Code. There is also a penalty of 6 years in prison
