To Egypt To Attend International Meeting, KPK Proposes 3 Things Regarding Corruption Eradication Between Countries
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Lili Pintauli, and her entourage attended an international meeting titled Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (CoSP). This activity took place in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt.
In the event, Lili said Indonesia was pushing for efforts to eradicate corruption globally. In addition, there are three points of the proposal submitted in the form of using technology to deal with corruption, concrete steps in preventing private corruption, and strengthening cooperation.
"Dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of information and data, especially in efforts to handle cases and recover assets are important elements in increasing international cooperation related to the prevention and eradication of corruption", said Lili at the international meeting as quoted from her written statement, Tuesday, December 14.
In addition, Lili also said that four priority issues will be pushed by the KPK during the Indonesian Presidency at the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group or the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group in 2022. These four issues, she continued, as evidence of Indonesia's commitment and active role in efforts to eradicate corruption at the global level.
The issues are in the form of increasing the role of audit in eradicating corruption; public participation and anti-corruption education; professional supervision, enablers in the crime of money laundering; and corruption in the renewable energy sector.

In this activity, Lili Pintauli was accompanied by the Deputy for Education and Community Participation, Wawan Wardiana, and the Director of Anti-Corruption Education and Training, Dian Novianthi.
Meanwhile, the conference was attended by 2,700 participants from various countries, observer countries, international and regional organizations, and civil society organizations.
"Hopefully this conference will become an important momentum to strengthen international cooperation in global efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption", concluded Lili.
