Bakamla Seizes Ships Seized By The Directorate General Of Taxes In Anambas
BATAM - KN Nipah Island-321 The Indonesian Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) captured the state confiscated ship, CS Nusantara Explorer, in the waters of the Anambas Islands, Riau Islands.
The Head of Bakamla, Army Vice-admiral Aan Kurnia, said that his party was conducting a search and securing the ship based on a request for assistance in securing confiscated movable assets belonging to the Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance.
"This is an extraordinary form of inter-ministerial/institutional cooperation", said TNI (Army) Admiral Aan Kurnia in a statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 14.
With this catch, Indonesia Bakamla managed to save tens of billions of rupiah worth of state money.
The "cable layer" type ship which has been confiscated since August 24, 2021, has been handed over to the South Jakarta I Directorate General of Taxes.
Meanwhile, Head of the Regional Office of the South Jakarta Directorate General of Taxes I, Aim Nursalim Saleh, expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian Bakamla for helping his party.
"I represent the South Jakarta Regional Tax Office I express my deepest gratitude to the Indonesian Bakamla. If we don't get help, it will be very difficult for us to recover the confiscated assets that escaped", said Aim Nursalim Saleh.
He stated that the confiscated movable assets had not yet completed their tax obligations of around IDR 33 billion.

From this information, the Head of Bakamla RI through the Director of Marine Operations First Admiral Bakamla, Suwito, ordered KN Pulau Nipah-321 to move to Anambas waters to carry out inspections and security of the target ship.
The commander of KN Pulau Nipah-321 Lieutenant Colonel Bakamla, Anto Hartanto Wibisono, immediately headed for the Anambas waters and managed to detect the presence of the CS Nusantara Explorer ship.
The commander of KN Pulau Nipah-321 Lt. Col. Bakamla Anto Hartanto immediately ordered the dispatch of the RHIB and the VBSS team to carry out ship inspections.
The results of the initial inspection of the CS Nusantara Explorer ship were 45 crew members consisting of 31 Indonesian crew members and 14 foreign crew members.
The CS Nusantara Explorer ship was then escorted to Batuampar Harbor. Documents of the ship with two crew members were secured at KN Pulau Nipah-321.
