BMKG: 5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Jember

JAKARTA - An earthquake measuring 5.3 magnitude (M) rocked the Jember region, East Java on Monday, December 13 at around 12:46 western Indonesia time.

This is information from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) received in Jakarta.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 179 km southeast of Jember, 9.81 degrees south latitude and 113.67 degrees East longitude with a depth of 10 kilometers.
